Data Collection and Analysis System
Hostingmoz collects plan information from providers' publicly available official websites worldwide and calculates scores using various fair algorithms. The analyses are currently based on a combination of the technical features promised on providers' official sites and the various additional services they offer.
The system evaluates providers' hosting plans based on technical specifications (CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth, etc.) and additional services (SSL, backup, security, etc.) to provide objective scoring. Fair comparisons are ensured using specialized algorithms for each hosting type.
Default Values for Missing Features:
Important: If certain features of a hosting plan are not specified on the provider's official website, the system assigns default low-average values instead of zero points. This ensures fair competition and prevents packages with incomplete information from being unfairly disadvantaged. For example, if RAM amount is not mentioned, a low-average value is assigned that won't disrupt market competition but allows the package to be evaluated.
This approach ensures that packages with missing technical specifications still receive appropriate scores while maintaining competitive balance. If a package's features are actually present on the website but not captured by our system, this is immediately corrected to ensure accurate evaluation.

User Records and Review System
Currently Inactive: User records and review system are not yet active.
We are aware that user reviews are very important in selecting hosting plans, but for now we have not yet activated user records and review system. We need some time to implement this feature to prevent fake user reviews and some companies from abusing it.
When activated in the future, the system will take a more advanced form where verified users can share their real experiences, rate and make detailed evaluations. With the moderation system, user experiences will also be included in the analysis process in highlighting quality plans and comparison decisions.
Provider Registration and Management System
Hosting providers who register on the Hostingmoz platform are included in our system after going through a comprehensive approval process.
Registration Process:
The registration stages for providers are quite simple. Providers register with Hostingmoz using their company's official websites and email addresses that have an extension of their sites. They verify their email accounts with the confirmation sent to the email they registered with. At this stage, Hostingmoz reviews the provider's registration and, unless there is an unusual situation, the provider can add their hosting plans in the approval panel.
Provider Statuses:
Pending
Status waiting for approval after initial registration. Limited permissions are available at this stage.
Active
Fully approved providers. They can access all panel features and manage their packages.
Inactive
Temporarily suspended accounts. Panel access is restricted.
Package Management:
Adding Packages: Providers can add their own packages to the system. To add their packages, they need to enter a hosting type address. This is necessary for Hostingmoz to verify that the relevant package actually exists on the relevant official website and to periodically check the currency of the relevant package. If a provider has been previously added by Hostingmoz, their packages appear directly in the provider panel when they register.
Thanks to this system, both providers' rights are protected and the quality of our platform is maintained at a high level.
Quality Control and Audit System
A comprehensive audit system is implemented to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all information published on the Hostingmoz platform.
Package Audit Process:
- Periodic Checks: Providers' official websites are checked at regular intervals
- Price Tracking: Changes in package prices are detected
- Feature Verification: Published technical specifications are compared with official sources
- Currency Tracking: Outdated or non-current information is flagged and updated with new ones
Discrepancy Management:
Discrepancy Detection: If the information uploaded by providers to the system does not match the information on their official websites, a warning is issued.
Penalty and Prevention System:
- First Warning: When a discrepancy is detected, the provider is given time to correct it
- Recurring Issues: If there are multiple discrepancies with the same provider, more serious measures are taken
- Temporary Suspension: In serious cases, the account is temporarily deactivated
- Permanent Removal: In case of continuous violations, the provider is completely removed from the system
Transparency Principles:
Our quality control processes are carried out in a completely transparent manner:
- Notification System: All warnings and penalties are communicated to the provider in writing
- Right to Appeal: Providers can appeal decisions
- Re-evaluation: Information is re-evaluated in case of appeal
- Record Keeping: All audit processes are recorded
Thanks to this system, we can always provide accurate and up-to-date information to our users.

Hosting Type Specific Criteria System
On the Hostingmoz platform, special criteria are used for each hosting type. Thanks to this system, different hosting types are evaluated fairly according to their own characteristics.
Special Criteria Examples:
NVMe > SSD > HDD
In the storage technology criterion, NVMe gets the highest score, SSD gets mid-level, HDD gets basic score.
WordPress Hosting
WordPress-specific criteria such as PHP version, MySQL optimization, WP-Cache support are used.
VPS Hosting
VPS-specific technical features such as KVM/Xen virtualization, root access, dedicated IP are evaluated.
Cloud Hosting
Scored according to cloud computing features such as auto-scaling, load balancing, CDN integration.
"Special Criteria Examples" is just an example showing how we score each criterion within itself! You can see the real and current values on the hosting type pages.
Criteria Types:
The weight ratio of a common criterion in different hosting types may differ. For example, while the CDN feature has more weight within a cloud hosting package, the CDN feature in another web hosting package may have slightly less weight.
- Basic Criteria: Valid for all hosting types (CPU, RAM, storage, bandwidth)
- Type-Specific Criteria: Valid only for certain hosting types
- Technical Features: Hardware and software features
- Service Quality: Uptime guarantee, support quality, SLA conditions
Thanks to this system, while VPS hosting is evaluated according to NVMe technology rather than SSD disk, WordPress hosting is scored according to PHP version and WP optimization.
